Hi

I’m Anke Snauwaert, a clinical psychologist with a holistic approach.
In my work, I combine talk therapy with body-oriented and experiential methods, always with attention to the emotional experience.

Yoga and somatic movement are an essential part of my life.
Through movement, we find a pathway to awareness, healing, and deeper connection with ourselves.

My Story & Approach

My path as a psychologist has been shaped by a wide range of experiences: as a family therapist in youth care in Brussels, in international projects such as in La Paz, Bolivia, in collaboration with Red Cross refugee centers, and in my private practice in Ostend (Belgium): working both in primary psychological care and in more specialized mental health care.
I also deepened my practice as a yoga teacher in studios and centers across different parts of the world.

These experiences strengthened my trust in the body as a gateway to healing: a place where experiences are held, but also a source of wisdom, movement, and awareness. When we include the body in the process, healing can unfold on a deeper level.

For me, therapy is about (re)discovering connection with yourself. It’s about sensing what is present: gently, without forcing.
From a place of understanding and compassion, we can move step by step towards a life that feels true to who you really are.

I believe in a therapy that is slow, soft, and attuned, where mind and body both have a voice, and where you are welcome with everything you carry.
